We stayed at this hotel after getting out of the awful Brown Lighthouse. We went from a dark, dingy unwelcoming hotel with a terrible outlook to a bright friendly hotel with view all over Athens including the magic Acropolis at night. The hotel has neutral furnishing and rooms are a good size. The Novotel is about 20 minutes walk from Omonia square which is the entry point to Plaka and all the sights. Some reviewers have commented on the area being run down and a bit dodgy but we didn’t find this at all. It is in a residential area with quite a lot of immigrants but we found it friendly and safe. Taxi fare to airport is euro46 about 40 minutes drive. Hotel reception is very good and they speak clear English. We would recommend this,hotel as a comfortable and quiet stay in Athens

Well located not too far from main museums etc to visits not too cross to avoid the crowd of tourists Nice and very helpful personal nice view from the roof top

It was good except lot’s of noise coming into the room from the street due to ancient windows

Not really well located. Located near a prostitutes area.

The rooms and the breakfast were great. The upper area (Terrace) overlooking the Acropolis was not very clean, the tables were dirty and we found dirty socks on the floor. The service was rather poor, we got the feeling that we were disturbing the staff when asking simple questions about the menu. As for the reception, I must admit, it was rather unfriendly except for one young lady, she seemed new. On the afternoon of our arrival on 18/05 the 2 people at reception were so rough and unfriendly. In the evening we asked for some advice to get around in Athens and the gentlemen could not be bothered with us, he made my lady friend and I very uncomfortable. This happened twice during our 4-day stay at your hotel. I have a Hospitality Trade background and I must admit that your service at reception should be changed.

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at Novotel Athens. The rooms and bathrooms were extremely clean and well-maintained. The breakfast spread was quite good, too - we particularly enjoyed the Greek yogurt with berries every morning. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a decent selection of tasty meals and bites offered at the rooftop resto-bar. Aesthetically pleasing, located in a quiet surrounding and walking distance to many landmarks and attractions.
