We stayed here for one night and reserved 2 rooms. We took the option of an early check in ( 30€) for one of the rooms. We called for the nearest parking and they said they did not have a room available for early check in. This was not mentioned on the Accor site. The manager on duty was very kind and called us 30 mins later to say that he had one available. He was going to upgrade us but a room was available so he gave us the room we reserved so we did not have to wait. Location is great, you can’t beat it. However the rooms/ bathrooms need an upgrade. The bathroom floors , walls etc all have very visible signs of wear. The rooms itself feel more like an Ibis. That said , everything was spotless and the bed very comfortable. The AC I think was on it’s last legs. We live in France, my husband is French, we are not looking for a cold room. I don’t want to imagine the room with warmer weather ( more than 25 degrees) Everyone we met was lovely. We’ve stayed in several Mercure hotels and this was the one that needs the most work. The others were nearly if not the level of a Novotel. It’s a beautiful building in a great area. It’s worth the updating work.

One-night stay en-route to Calais. It's a great location near the Grand' Place and very near covered secure parking. The main lobby and staircase has some character too. But the a/c in both our rooms was awful, especially our children's room where it was a horrible stuffy sauna despite being turned to as cold as possible. Nobody slept.

Excellent location. Standard rooms are comfortable and clean, but quite small. The staff here are excellent : very polite and friendly, and happily helped out with a few requests. I would definitely return.
