Booked a junior suite for 3 nights. Room is spacious, but from a suite one would expect sea view, not parking and highway view. Bed is comfortable, the room has 2 TVs and air conditioning, it's very silent, minibar is included in the basic fee (water, beer, coke, juices, chocolate, nuts, pringles, refilled daily). Wardrobe could have been bigger and with more hangers. Great multi functional shower. great breakfast choice and long timings. Pool and sauna were opened and they look nice but we did not use them. Pool is just 1 m deep. The room despite being a jr suite suffers some trivial but annoying design mistakes. the minibar door and its closet door open in opposite directions, the wardrobe has so high shelves that the staff had to give us a ladder to be able to use them all (not everyone is 2 m tall). the bathroom door is also not optimally designed, too big for the depth of the bathroom: a sliding door would have been much more appropriate. and a small technical defect was not repaired during our stay at all. Reception staff is friendly and helpful, they deserve a big shout out! they also gave us for free 2 extra water bottles (hot days). The same can't be said about the service staff at breakfast and other waiters. the first night we were looking around discovering the breakfast area and one waiter asked us what we were doing and what we wanted with a very unfriendly tone as if we were doing something forbidden. it was unpleasant. the chief service lady at breakfast is also not really friendly, she does her job by the book, but is always nervous and agitated, she has no idea about how make a guest feel welcome, indeed you get the feeling she thinks you're dumb and don't know what you are doing. once the tea water container was empty, i asked her for help and she raised in no time the cover of the container, hot water drops of course fell and burned my hand. an expert waiter would react in a more calm way and asking to set the hand away first. another time i was preparing a "personal recipe" and she kept asking me what i was doing, like "why are you not preparing your food according to the standard procedure I learnt at school?". it was annoying and inappropriate, especially for the tone used. that said, she's helpful, in her own way. scrambled eggs are totally recommended (to be ordered for free at this lady), and salmon in the morning is just delicious. Overall we're happy and we would definitely consider again this hotel, but from a "grand hotel" and a junior suite some improvement would be highly welcome.

Friendly staff, very accommodating. We had a junior sweet which gave out daughter privacy in her own sleeping area. Shower and bath with two toilet facilities. The free mini bar was enjoyed. There is a small pool in the hotel which we had fun in. The breakfast was very good. We cannot complain! The rooms are very nice with big comfy beds. Would recommend. Also, the hotel is centrally located. Just perfect.

It was a nice stay and it was above my expectations. The area is quiet with a nice location which is near the lake and downtown. The room is nice with nice comfortable bed. I had booked directly on the hotel website, but I still had to enter all the data again at the check-in. The location of the hotel is ideal for both walks along Lake Bodensee and the city. Not enough hooks for towels. No possibility to dry towels, but very good shower. Poor maintenance e.g. handle not fixed on the balcony door. Only one armchair on the balcony for two people (double room). TV set is the right size with good audio quality. Spa good, but only if no more than 6 visitors. The restaurant with French cuisine, but also with some Austrian specialties, and a very good selection of French wines. FB Manager Ondrěj is very committed and offers a very good service with his team. The breakfast buffet is also excellent.

Nice hotel, poor management

The hotel room was super nice, the bed is comfortable, vanity products are plenty and nice, the lake can be seen from the balcony, clean and the bathroom is nice as well. However the service was kind of ridiculous... In the restaurant, the dish are served out like they want you out as soon as possible. Didn't finish my appetizers and my beer that the dish were already there (really in like 3 minutes probably). The wine I ordered to accompany my dish never came, and the dessert I ordered, only came 45 minutes after me ordering, once I reminded them that I wanted one... And one waiter blamed the other which was not very classy. At the end of the meal, the waiter ask us several times for our room number, like we gave the wrong one, until I showed my key card. She then took it away and struggle for 15 minutes with the reception to find us in the system. Other than that, the dish were super good, no complaints there.

We feel at home, all staffs are very friendly and finding all kinds of solutions to serve us! The Suite room was perfect for us!! The swimming pool is just like a private pool, small but perfect! All restaurant staffs are also very very friendly, not rushing us at all when they need to clear up the breakfast buffet. My children are very happy and we will for sure stay in your hotel again…

This is the 4th time we have stayed at this hotel in the last 12 months. We can honestly say we have never had any cause to complain. Breakfast and dinner are very good and the restaurant and kitchen staff are very attentive. We will return in August for the Opera.

An Awful Covid Experience

We were truly shocked at the lax approach to Covid at this hotel. The lobby was often filled with people waiting to check in who were not wearing masks. This was due to the so-called “3G policy”. However, people were only asked whether they had been vaccinated, cured from an infection or tested AFTER they reached the check-out desk. So the reception area was often packed with unmasked people who’s 3G credentials had not been checked yet! There were even unmasked delivery drivers there! Regardless of whether they were receptionists, bar personnel or housekeeping, none of the staff wore masks. There were no signs up asking guests to wear masks, and even in the confined space of the lifts, no one wore masks. What made it even worse was that my wife’s covid vaccine-passport was not even properly checked at the reception! In all seriousness, we have needed to travel often for work during the pandemic, but this was our worst Covid experience of the last 18-months. … Beside that, we also found the balconies on the top floor pretty useless, as they had no privacy. They were separated from others by nothing but a thin wooden trellis with large holes in it, so anyone standing next door could see what you were doing and even look into your room. The area where the hotel is situated is also very loud throughout the night, with lots of drunks and skateboarders making noise into the early hours. While the décor of the rooms was nice, this hotel certainly wasn’t worth the money and I would not stay here again.

I am sorry to see that you have not been satisfied with your stay, however I must say that most of your dissatisfaction come from matters that are not controlled by us. Please note that our hotel is fully in line with the current restrictions applied in Austria and we are officially certified in terms of protection and restricitons application, we did have an official control for that. We follow exactly what is and is not allowed to do and what is and what is not to be requested from the staff and from the guests. When the restrictions were stronger in past we applied them stronger and as soon as there is an official release, we release and that fully according the decision of the government. I find it a pity that we receive the negative score from you for this and I recommend you to look for current Corona restrictions in any country you will travel to avoid bad surprises. We stayed for four nights during the Bregenze Festspiele, and had chosen this hotel for it's locandation a few steps from the Seebuenhe, and the lake, for this reason. The room, bathroom , indoor pool, sauna etc were spotlessly clean and seemed to have been ecently renovated. However we would expect nothing less for the price (which was probably high due to the season and the Festspiele). The staff were friendly and professional.
