I had a great time staying at the hotel. The staff maintained the hotel looking nice, clean, spotless. Superb customer service among the staff, very helpful. Great view at the terrace right at the restaurant/bar. Yummy food and drinks. I will come back again. Can't wait!

The hotel location is really good, unfortunately the service of the staff is not. . We had a reservation for 5 nights. We asked for assistance and we were not helped, because of the situation with the Corona virus in the City and all the attractions being closed, we decided that for our family it was safer to come back home and do earlier checked out . We asked to have a refund or a credit of the remaining days of our reservation, because the reservation were made through Expedia we were told at the hotel that they cannot helps us, before our arrival I spoke with a representative of Expedia about the possibility of cancel or reschedule because of the Corona Virus problem, that same day Expedia spoke with the person in charge of reservations at Novotel, who because of this particular situation, authorized changes or cancellation in our reservation if we need to, therefore we are kindly asking to have the refund or the credit of the 3 remaining days in our reservation.

Our stay was great however, we encountered an incident with some of our personal items that was lossed but recovered by housekeeping. I went to the staff housekeeping room/door on the 26th floor for assistance and this is where I saw my bag with only my husband Calvin Escape lotion & other hotel toiletries in my bag on the housingkeeping supply cleaning cart. I reported this to a manager whom expressed apologized and gave a credit of $75 for the items that was missing from the bag. My concern is that my lossed bag was not turned in and my items was removed from it. I hope that in the future if something is lossed and found that it would be reported and turned in. Thank you

Stayed for 4 nights. Had 2 breakfasts and 1 in room dinner. All excellent quality although I ate too much. Staff were universally courteous and considerate. It was the beginning of the Corona virus outbreak and I am sure that they must have been as stressed as the rest of us but they were handling the situation very well. Rooms were kept very well maintained throughout my stay.

I was visiting just as the coronavirus was starting to have a big impact in New York. Broadway went dark on the day i arrived, and major attractions started to shutdown. However, the staff throughout the hotel continued to be extremely professional, helpful and were calm. The hotel itself was clean, smart and well equipped. The room was clean, tidy and had everything that i needed (apart from the noisy room neighbours next door - but that was only one night). My stay was cut short so i could travel back to the UK, and again the staff were helpful and understanding. I will be back to complete my stay, and enjoy all the delights of the hotel and New York. Thank-you very much to the whole hotel team.

This was our first time to stay at your hotel. We were upgraded to a room on the 33rd floor with a view of the Hudson. Much appreciated! The room was clean and spacious for the two of us. The bathroom had room on counters to lay our things out and a nice shower. Bed was comfy - liked the feather pillows and the down comforter. We ordered room service one night and it was pretty quick for room service. :) I could never get our devices to work with the TV app, but that was our only issue - and not a big one. Staff was always pleasant and helpful, especially in the craziness of Broadway shutting down.

I have stayed multiple times at this hotel and they never disappoint. The staff at the front desk is knowledgeable about the city and quick at their job. The restaurant staff and bartenders are the best. They make you feel like part of a family.

Problems with room, inconsistent service, billing issues.

There were significant billing problems, that despite it being determined that it was a Novotel/Accor mistake they would not correct it accordingly. The front desk did not take into consideration my Accor "gold" status and stated that "if you wanted an upgraded room then you should have booked the type of room that you wanted." When arriving to our room, the HVAC system was not working and our room was 80 degrees in spite of us having the system set to 66 degrees. We were told to "just open the windows", which actually would not stay open and then were later told to put a washcloth in the window to keep it open. We saw the air filter that was removed from the room and it was quite filthy; as if it should have been replaced months ago. We were moved to a different room the next day and were told that everything had been checked thoroughly and the room was ready for us. We stayed back from other events for 3 days in order to solve the room problem (those interfering with our travel plans). When we moved ourselves and our luggage to the next room, there was a maintenance person still working on the HVAC system in that room and we had to, again, wait. Then the safe in that room did not work and we had to wait for someone to come and solve that problem, which required us to be present (again missing out on our travel plans). We also had a second reservation for our family to stay there along with us, and we encountered the same billing problem with that. Again, we were told that the billing issue was due to a problem in their system, but they would not correct it accordingly.

While the location was very good the room itself was underwhelming. Bed was uncomfortable and pillow felt like sleep on cottage cheese. My biggest complaint was the bathroom. It was tiny. The sink was horrible, as water splashed everywhere. The Placement of the shower door and towel bar did not allow you to fully open the shower. You also had to stand with in the shower to turn it on so you were greeted with cold water every morning. Overall the cleanliness of the bathroom was lacking with dust and dirty glass.

We have been staying at the Novotel for years. It is comfortable and the staff is quite accommodating, especially the personnel who clean and refresh the rooms. The only complaint is the lighting in the bathrooms!

In rated it 8 instead of 10 because we had problems with our thermostat. The first night was sweltering in our room, and we had problems one other night. Other than that, it was all good.
