The room was... ok. Having requested a quiet room prior to arrival, I was surprised to be placed not only right by the lifts but also next to the ice machine, which I wouldn’t really consider “quiet”. Thankfully it was midweek, so there wasn’t too much traffic, but enough for it to be noticeable. The room itself also felt quite dated, particularly the bathroom, and honestly I’ve stayed in nicer rooms for far less. I was surprised this was a Novotel, as it felt more comparable to a Premier Inn or Travelodge in terms of appearance and finish. Considering the price, and what we were told was an "upgrade", the room did not meet expectations. I was also a little disappointed there wasn’t a pool, as I had expected one, though that was only a minor inconvenience. That said, it did the job, and we appreciated the noon checkout time. Overall, it was an okay stay, but not quite what I would expect for the price point or the so-called upgrade.

Hammersmith is a great just out of London location. Excellent versatile transport into or around London. Felt safe. Staff were excellent. However within hours of getting in the room , the room vibrated! A wedding party had begun. The room on the third floor literally vibrated. You couldn’t open the windows because of the noise. We complained and advised the party should end by 11:00 at night. We couldn’t stay in the room and relax so went out. Returning much later, the noise was worse. Eventually the hotel moved us too the. 7th floor. Much better but the air con was either faulty or inefficient. Far too hot! Same the second night. Sadly not the best experience. Otherwise the hotel and facilities were very good.
