Dirty, dated and not worth the money

I expected more for a 4 star hotel. I Booked two nights due to attending a conference held in the hotel. I paid extra for an executive room. There was nothing executive about it. I was allocated room 4001, the carpet was stained, the shower screen was covered at all the metal joins in thick white limescale asxwas the overflow for the sink. The desk chairs red "pleather" covering was peeling with large gaps on the edges. The bose Ipod docking station (do people still use ipods?) Was stained with black marks. The mini fridge door would get stuck against the wood cabinet it was in on a regular basis. Ive never stayed in a four star hotel that was decorated with artex on floor and ceiling, with a number of hair line cracks on the back wall in the artex. I returned to my room at 4pm after the conference to find it being cleaned, fair enough, its a big hotel, but i was told i couldnt enter the room by the cleaner until she was finished. So spent a good ten minutes stood in the corridor needing the loo. I had been looking forward to the stay but not worth the money at all. No plans to return. The conference is a yearly event, next time ill stay at one of the two premier inns close by.

Novotel is close to the Hammersmith station and my office which made it the perfect choice for my stay in London. I did find the gluten free breakfast options lacking.

Nice hotel but far too warm

Obvioulsy a business minded hotel. Very clean and tidy and well laid out. The rooms were quite large and the bathroom very clean and well equipped. Like most hotels in this country it was far too hot. The room had air conditioning but that was totally useless. The only way to cool the room down was to open the window which meant ZERO sleep because of the Hammersmith flyover! The bed was far from comfortable and lumpy springs didn't help. TV was a waste of time which is full of daytime stuff that I would never dream of watching and no room to put a flash drive to view better content. Bar was badly overpriced.

Stayed at the hotel several times. The service, comfort and quality level keeps it standard. As a regular guest, you also feel appreciated in this hotel. Although it's not in the center of London, the connections with the Underground are very convenient, so you are getting around rather fast.
