The drain in the zink and bath was out of order.. The bathroom was overall in a rather old and worn out condition. Due to the poor drain in 309 we were moved to 209 - and had the noise of the plummers all the next day right above us. I asked for some alcoholgel placed at the breakfast buffet but it never came.. Over all I was a bit sad to see that just outside the doors there where a lot of cigaretbuts, minor trash i.e. We tolk the stairs to our room every day and could see trades with used service, cups and glases placed at the floor for most of a day. The door to the room next to 209 was open and the room seemed to be used by the hotel service staff. When walking by the room with open door one could see a room in poor condition with scrambled walls i.e. It just did not gave any good impression of the hotel overall.

Booked due to ist was the only Choice Privilege room and These are quite nice and well renovated. Breakfast area also well spaced and bright. Low light attached Restaurant and bar closed during Weekend apparently.

The room was freezing, heating didn’t work properly. Plug for bathtub did not function. There was only 2 towels for four people. The extra duvet given to us at reception had no cover. Coffee at breakfast was tasteless and water in flask for tea tepid. Bread was not fresh.

It was a very good experience for staying at mercure alpotel. Very clean and very good breakfast. Every staff was helpful and polite, especially the staff in 1st floor breakfast room.
