Arrived at Schiphol late and flying early next day. Choose the Ibis because of price, it is a bit cheaper than the others with walking distance from the terminal. Shuttle bus free of charge departs outside Schiphol Plaza ever 15 min. or so, look for a bus with the Ibis logo. Also same in the morning. The hotel is huge, it even has escalators inside, which I have never seen before in a hotel. The reception area is also the biggest ever with a snack bar and even a small turist shop. Its hip and cool, with plenty of seating area. From here, it looks like a 4 star hotel. Then up the escalators you go and enter the corridor to the rooms. The carpets are from another time and the hotel stop being hip and funky. You can see its a bit old and its like entering another time zone from the reception area. There is no minibar (and I had some cheese I’d like to store in a fridge) and no water boiler. The bathroom is also from another day. Dont get me wrong, the room is ok, just old. The bed is comfy. In contrast to the reception area. The restaurant was not open, only the buffee. Didnt have a look there, but went to the small burger shop in the 2nd floor. Brought some dirty fries to my room, which was OK, I guess. Did not have breakfast. All in all an OK hotel for one night with the shuttle. But if I were to stay longer or bring a family, I’d stay somewhere else. But this is an airport hotel, so fair enough. If I could save €100, its good enough.

Room was dirty, could not find air temperature controls. Looked like they did not take pride in room as figured I’m a traveler and wouldn’t return. Breakfast was great, location and shuttle very good.

A great hotel, excellent value for money and a varied breakfast, with hot food, continental options, fruit, yoghurt, croissants and pancakes. Also lots of juice options. Plenty of water and hot drinks machines, but no decaffeinated tea or coffee options, which most of the party drinks. Luckily we'd brought out own decaffeinated tea bags and instant coffee. We were a party of 6. 4 of us stayed in a quadruple room, 2 stayed in a twin room. Cons: The quadruple room would have benefitted from some storage/shelves in the bathroom, and maybe some more shelves next to the TV, as this was empty space. The room was quite hot at night, there was no air conditioning so we left the windows open, this helped a little. The reception staff were very helpful and provided a fan, and extra pillows, when these were requested. Air conditioning would be beneficial, especially in Summer, tho I know this can be expensive and may affect prices. This room would also benefit from some more plug sockets. There was 1 socket, by the door, which we had to share between 4 of us trying to charge phones and devices. Luckily we'd brought a travel adapter which had USB and regular sockets. The twin room was a little small as 1 of the people didn't have a lot of room next to their bed. No Decaffeinated hot drinks options at breakfast. No tea making facilities in the room, which would have been nice. You could buy hot drinks in the reception area. Pros: The bathrooms and rooms very clean, with house keeping staff being very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable. Reception staff were polite and extremely helpful, answering all of our queries and helping us to navigate around Amsterdam. Maintenance staff were also brilliant, they fixed a problem with our safe within 10 minutes of me phoning reception. Great free shuttle bus to and from the airport which ran all night. There was also a bus station nearby, so it was easy to get to Amsterdam centre. A great location for the airport and the city. Great breakfast with lots of variety, all staff at breakfast were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Joshua (or he might have been called Joseph) and Mercy! Fantastic facilities, with a small gym area, gift shop, 24 hour drinks and snacks shop near reception, burger diner and a nice restaurant as well as the buffet restaurant which you could have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast times were great from 4 am to 12pm, so we didn't have to rush. There was lots of seating outside, by a lake, which was lovely in the sunshine. All staff were fantastic! Even though I have mentioned some cons, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the pros outweighed the cons and we all said we'd come back. To sum up, this is a great hotel, fabulous location, great value for money, clean and tidy, with excellent staff!

All good except the ventilation noise (not the heating/AC) that was running for 20minutes and then stoping for 20min during the entire night. The personnel took time to react, and by the time they offer to change room we were in the bed ready to sleep and get up very early (early flight)
