Quick stay during a long trip. Small rooms. And an old hotel. Your lobby is nice. The food served is incredibly expensive for what is presented, both in quality as in quality.

Pleasant stay

The hotel sits in quiet part of the city outskirts and offers the standard Novotel quality. The check in was good and the room clean. The Internet was of good speed and easy to use. The restaurant was OK in view of the Covid times we are living in at the moment. Check out was also good.

Receptionist didn't know that we did check in online. The room did smell at sewer. The water in douchecabin didn't flow fast in the sewer.

Well located by understaffed and unlogic management

The location is great and rooms are good. But it is clear that the hotel is understaffed. Breakfast was not refilled in time. Resulting in no bread, eggs ect. Cleaning of rooms only done late in the afternoon. Secondly very unlogic payment process. Paying rooms in advance was requested and is never done in a hotel, always when you check out. bar and lunch invoices could not be added to the room and needed payment directly. What is generating more work for the staff while they are already understaffed.

The room was good and seemed clean. I wouldn't have wanted to stay for more than a night or two with a child - we'd probably need a larger room. The restaurant closed an hour earlier than normal (we were planning on eating at the hotel as we'd been driving for 6 hours) and we weren't informed which was annoying as I had to go out to find some takeaway instead. There was a charging issue but that was resolved - we had booked with some Accor points but were charged the full rate when we arrived. Luckily I spotted it and raised it with the person who checked us in and the refund came back. I understand things are awkward during Covid times though and also am an Accor Live Limitless Insiders member so have seen some of the issues that everyone has been dealing with, both as Accor and customers. We're very reasonable people though so aren't complaining and will always select Accor hotels first and if there isn't one available where we are travelling, we'll go with someone else. However Accor on the whole have been excellent in the years that we've been using them. Now we are 3 people with a child it's changed how we book and the places we can stay but where possible we'll be booking with Accor in the future. The 8 out of 10 reflects the quality of the hotel (not the best Novotel we've stayed at - sorry) and the quality of the staff (awesome) and the communication/food issue. I'm just curious if it's a hotel mostly used by people who are travelling through instead of staying for longer trips - it felt that way.

Hotel is fine but my reservation (prepaid) was cancelled when I arrived to check in at 2am. I had to wait 30 min to have a new reservation

Stayed over the weekend in Breda. Sofie from hospitality was great. Always serving with a smile. Things that could be improved are free parking. It is out of the city center and lot's of free parking space around. Also the sign clean up my room doesn't work if the cleaning people have allready done ur hall. I think we put it up around 1300 and when we came back at 0200 the room was not cleaned. Not a big problem but still.

Hotel was okay, it was quite warm in the hotel rooms despite that the window was open. Further too few adapters in the room for all your mobile equipment.

not so nice as times before

Ladies and Gentlemen, when I stood in your hause, I was disappointed. The reason for it is, the Service was lower than before. Paper cups in the bath room and as cup for the tea. Ecology is hip, but is below my minimum standard. The breakfast was not tasteful a in the past. (Egg from the plastic tube and a hard restricted buffet.)

This was our second stay at Novotel Breda. The employees were friendly as always but we were disappointed in the breakfast buffet this time compared to last. The food seemed factory-made rather than fresh and there were less options. For the price, we expected more.

I stay in Novotels mostly of the times. It is first time that the room it was dirty. It was full of spiders and looks that the cealing andthe walls not to have been cleaned for years. Also the pillow covers was clean put cracked like to have been used for many years.

We had two rooms which suited our family of 4. The rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was generous too.

Room for some hospitality improvements

The lady at the reception was very kind when we arrived. We could store our luggage, as we were a bit early (check in as off 4pm). We went into town. When we came back we were told that the hotel charges extra to park your car(!) This was a weird and unpleasant surprise. Why on earth do you charge hotel guest to park on the hotels own property? It is not the amount that was disturbing, just the fact that it was so. I have never ever heard of such a ridiculous charge and if you do want to charge people to pay for parking on own property, include that in the price, as this was quite the turn-off. The rooms were fresh and clean. You get one sachet of instant coffee per person and need to pay if you want another sachet extra. Come on Novotel, a bit more hospitality would not hurt. We did not made a comment on it though, as we do not believe confrontations would help. The breakfast was really nice, all the things you require and plenty of it, fantastic! I would like to recommend the staff to smile every now and then. We had the feeling the staff hoped the morning is not their favorite time to work. Finally the check out went smoothly, but we were never asked if we enjoyed our stay and to me, that should be a thing to check with your guests. Summarising: You have a good and clean hotel, the rooms are fine, but hospitality could be improved. I seriously hope this recommendations will help the hotel to improve, as it will upgrade your stay quite a bit.

very nice hotel close to the motorway. However very silent in the middle of almost nothing. nice room even it is a small room. everything very clean. nice breakfast buffet where you can find everything what you need.

felt more like a ibis than a novotel

That there are issues no problem. But multiple issues seems to me just bad luck or managment. At the desk the pc did not work and even our check took once we where served only 4 min we had to wait 25 min due to a guest and not enough people at the desk. However this can happen. Next the roomservice was not working due to covid ( also a normal reason. BUt than we had trouble in the bathroom and also the airconditioning was not working. the room temp was to high for a good sleep. The matras was dirty and the making of the bed was surly done by a intern. ( no problem but please check the work) our cover was just not covering the matras. I am a big fan of accor but this time is was just not worth the money
