Welcoming helpful staff. Large clean room. Comfy bed. Excellent having Safe and Fridge in the room. Staff happy to replace all Tea/coffee/milk when required. Cooked Breakfast good but chopped fruit only accessible on Saturday/weekend? No muesli/ granola type cereals.

Excellent location when travelling, check in and out easy, however rooms are dated and basic needs not met. It’s really easy and cheap to swap plug sockets for ones with USB sockets and most people now don’t carry around a charging plug. There was one USB socket available in the room on the desk. The separate toilet was good but a lick of paint and the cracks in the walls filled would make all the difference to the feel of the room. Bed comfy. Didn’t stay for breakfast as we thought it too expensive (we don’t eat much breakfast) at £10 each. Have diamond status at Hilton so use them mostly, pricing comparable to a Garden Inn at Hilton which is preferable to this Novotel.

Was there for two nights and was not told that the room would not be serviced. This is a copout and just using covid as an excuse. I have stayed in other hotels who have continued to at least give the room a going over and replenishing the coffee station with their staff applying the correct covid protocols. Was very disappointed.

Many little aspects of the stay resulted in a below par experience. On checking in, after specifically asking for a quiet room and told rooms are ready for check-in by 2pm, the room wasn’t ready at 2.30pm. Accor claims as a valued guest, a drink on arrival is provided. Not true. Lots of faffing around before I was given a key card to a room right by the busy road. Lugging my three bags, I went all the way back down to reception and explained that the room was not acceptable. Left to wait in reception with: “a member of housekeeping will let us know when a room is ready.” About 20 minutes later, I am told the room in ready for check in. This is now over an hour after 2pm, when I was told rooms would be ready to checked in. I was informed “due to Covid, rooms are only cleaned EVERY SIX DAYS and I had to ring a day before the sixth day to ensure a clean. Utterly ridiculous and very poor excuse and standard of hygiene for guests paying a lot of money. Then of course, when I rang the night before for a clean, I was told “70 people are checking in tomorrow, so it might not be cleaned - subject to availability.” This had never been mentioned. Pathetic really and very disappointed with my stay. The staff are lovely but the standards are poor.

Appalling. I have travelled all over Europe and beyond staying at ACCOR hotels of all levels. This is the first time I have stayed at one of your hotels since the pandemic. Your staff seem to have forgotten that you are in the hospitality industry. Almost no service was provided to your guests. It was like staying at a Travelodge! The restaurant was closed on both Saturday and Sunday with only bar meals available in the freezing cold bar area at the front door of the hotel, the room was not serviced during our stay, reception staff were only seen occasionally. Very impressed, first time at a Novotel. Really comfortable, up to date and spacious room. Parking outside hotel available. Quick check in and departure. Good friendly service in restaurant, plenty of choice for breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Well located for motorway

Picked the hotel for closeness to motorway and happy with this. Not the hotel fault but charging machine needs longer cables! Too short to use, we had to park across both bays to charge! Not very friendly and moved before fully charged as did not want to be awkward for anyone else. Unfortunately the next people were not so thoughtful, cars were unregistered and stayed all night! They did unplug but stayed in the bay so not much point in that??

The staff are absolutely brilliant, very friendly and helpful. But in general the hotel is tired, once you get away from the reception area towards the rooms the corridor carpets have seen better days. I was staying in room 329 on the first floor, when I stay in a hotel I always open the window ( if possible) and the sliding window rail had several old cigarette ends stuffed in them which says a lot to me about house keeping, it is rather off putting. the carpet had several round stains around the seating area at the work station. The room itself was a good size though. I cannot comment on the bar or restaurant as I didn't use these facilities. What can I say about the car park, it is a claim waiting to happen. It is extremely pot holed and the lighting is atrocious, I left the hotel just after six in the morning so its still dark at this time of day and there is no lighting as you go to the car park or at the far parking area so in my opinion that is a recipe for an accident.

The room was clean, modern and comfortable. I had a great night sleep, which is rare for hotel room. Evening meal in the restaurant was not nice. The chicken burger was cold, the bun stale and chips soggy. The deep fried Brie was cold in the centre and clearly not heated up correctly from frozen. Somebody near me order the pizza, and it looked excellent in comparison.

The room seemed to move part of a cupboard as the lay out of the room was never thought about. On going to have a shave there was no hot water, but plenty of luke warm water. Also staff unsure about whether or NOT the EV charging is free or not as I had received an email back from Novotel stating that they thought it was free, but on arrival its NOT FREE. So perhaps educate staff on facilities available.

The hotel was very clean and spacious. The rooms were kept to a high standard and the customer service was very good. The beds were very comfortable as well and the room included a fridge, which was nice.

Our 3 night stay did not include the normal housekeeping one would expect etc. Staff were not allowed into occupied rooms DUE TO COVID which was the mantra of all reception staff. The lift never had an interior clean as evidenced by the mirror. With fully sealed windows it was not a healthy way to avoid Covid. Luckily in the evening I could escape to my car with all windows open to breathe fresh air. The car park was full of trash and overflowing bins.

Perfect Stay. The hotel is located next to the M1 Motorway and is an ideal location! If you are bothered by noise from the motorway, you won't hear any. The staff are friendly. Special mention to Séana, who is in charge of customer service. Séana always goes out of her way to help you and greets you in a warm, friendly manner. Also, a mention to Hamad, the second manager in charge who is a credit to the hotel. Rooms are clean and up to a good standard—air conditioning in the rooms, which is a massive bonus in the summer. The beds are very comfortable. Bar - You have Becks, Stella and goose on draft, very lovely pint. You also have a selection of bottles. Very large car park, make sure you enter your reg a reception, as it is managed by parking eye.
