Not so good romantic summer trip

I was very excited looking to have a romantic and relaxing trip with my husband after such a long period of work. When we arrived and checked in at the hotel, not much information about the hotel nor the area were given, no wifi and no papers with other info provided neither. We were tired and went to find a very old dusty room and very smelly carpets and aged restroom where the toilet was separated from the shower and the tube was useless (unless you have the courage to use). The sauna was nice, the pool was a lit dirty but would pass, the jacuzzi fits 2 people but many wants to use so we had to "organize" a waiting line (no peace at all to rest). Very disappointing and frustrating to pay 400 pounds (without breakfast) to have poor service and poor information provided. Luckily the area is nice and the Aiguille de Midi saved the trip. Looking forward to next trip very far away from there.

The staff were lovely and helpful, but staff shortages and technical problems caused issues with service. I found the dark brown room, overbearing and not at all restful and the accommodation was overpriced and overated on the hotel website.

I spent 6 days vacation with family in Mercure hotel les bossons. Nice hotel and location, but a little bit disappointed with the consideration for very loyal customers (Diamond status). Maybe it's a bad habits, but I didn't feel like a "guest" but just as "customer", and that is not the reason why I'm always choose accor hotels.

Nice hotel location. Excellent staff, especially Anne Sophie who was very cooperative and replied to all our questions. She is just wonderful ! Rooms were clean, but separation of toilet from shower was old fashioned and relatively inconvenient. Otherwise everything great !

Conveniently located with an easy driving distance from Chamonix center, the overnight stop was comfortable, had a good breakfast and had some time visit Chamonix in the morning before continuing on the journey

Arrived very tired but found the room very comfortable. The staff at the reception desk were very competent and well acquainted with their job. The room with the mountain view was good, but maybe too close to the swimming pool. The chairs at the table were a bit weak and there was no coffee/tea available close to the water boiler. Perhaps this was due to the COVID 19 current situation.

Booked the hotel due to location, open air own parking area, and existence of restaurant. Reception was excellent both arrival and departure. Restaurant was catastrophically bad and expensive for being bad. Both food and service. Breakfast was decent. Rooms have an awful decoration, prevailing color is more like vomit. Bed was good.

Due to storm Dennis , my flight from London to Geneva on Saturday 15th February was cancelled ( as all the other flights that Saturday) so I arrived at the hotel the next day, Sunday 16th February, I have explained the above to the manager but they did not refund me the payment ,for the night I was unable to travel in spite of explaining to him the situation. No flexibility or understanding of the situation.

Even though it's a bit far from Chamonix, getting around was easy using the buses. The hotel is a neat, comfortable and simple hotel. Nothing extraordinary here. The restaurant has amazing food for dinner. Try it out

Didn’t live to expectations

This was my first stay at this hotel, and it was disappointing. I tried to change hotels during my stay but couldn’t as the room was prepaid. The room was very dark, and with the sofa bed open for my daughter there was no space to walk around. When we asked at reception to change room, we were told that all rooms were the same. The safe in the room was faulty and we had to call reception to have it opened. they could not fix it and We were asked to check with maintenance the following day. At dinner, I ordered a burger at the restaurant. I specifically asked if it had any pork which I didn’t eat. the menu didn’t show any, but I just wanted to make sure. When it arrived, guess what: it had a big piece of bacon on top! When I asked the waiter, he wasn’t very happy and made me feel as if it were my mistake! He then took the burger away to the kitchen, removed the bacon, and brought the same burger back! When I complained, he seemed very annoyed, and reluctantly accepted to make another one. In terms of the hotel itself: the location is not ideal if you want to go to the center. The closest bus comes only 4 times a day, and the next one which is a good 10 minute walk (uphill) comes once every half hour. If you want a taxi, that will cost you 25-30 euros each way - assuming you can get one in busy Chamonix! My feedback to the hotel is that they really should consider having a shuttle. Other hotels closer to the center have them. The steam room was out of service for 3 days out of our 5 day stay. I met the hotel manager as I was doing the check-out and shared some of this feedback. To be fair, he seemed genuinely concerned and wished we had spoken to him earlier. On the positive side, some of the staff members were very nice, in particular the breakfast chef, and the breakfast waitress. They genuinely care for the wellbeing of customers and made us feel welcome.

Overall a good experience. In general Mercure hotels I have stayed in are slightly more luxurious, but based on the price I would recommend this hotel. Location is good, near city centre and free parking. Staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast is very simple.

A good priced hotel for the area . Staff extremely helpful, daughter loved the gift of a teddy bear given at check in . The rooms were spacious, shower was amazing. Great mountain views from the outdoor seating area . We stayed on a weekend and found it easy to drive into the resort centre and park .
