As requested in advance, I received a clean and quiet room. I was kindly given an upgrade as an ALL member, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I really appreciated that. Check in was quick and friendly. Room was clean and with a complimentary mini bar. Only the breakfast was not as good as usual. This was probably due to the fact that the hotel was booked in combination with an event. This meant that there was a light group breakfast in a separate room. Not as cosy or with the usual offer.

It was very cold, and adjusting the thermostat didn’t help. The room was clean but a bit run-down. One of my belongings, which was lying on the shelf in the hall, disappeared after the room was cleaned. It was a small souvenir I had bought the day before - a golden coin. Maybe it just fell behind a piece of furniture, I’m not sure. On the plus side, the breakfasts were very good, and the staff were quite friendly and helpful.

I was there for the West Coast Swing dance event. Overall, my stay was good but between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. Saturday night, someone was running a powerful, noisy vacuum. That's a big issue. I called the front desk and was told that it would last about 15 minutes. It lasted quite a big longer, on and off; but running a vacuum that loud at anytime during the night in a hotel seems like a big issue to me. There were issues with the coffee machines during one breakfast that made it impossible to have coffee for a while but the stuff did try to resolve the problem finally succeeded. I also initially got false info about where the iron and ironing board was, so had to go two or three times to look for it. Otherwise, my stay was fine and the staff was pleasant and helpful.

The Hotel as such is ok. Lobby is nice, Room interieur is ok and service is friendly. I don't like, that it is impossible to open the windows in the room, not even a little bit. No fresh air at all. The air conditioning makes noise and seems to ventilate, however it was pretty warm in the room and no setting could increase the airflow or air temperature. The buttons seem to be for decoration only... We called maintainance and also tried a different room, but it is the same in the other rooms, too. Breakfast was ok, but honestly would have expected a little bit more considering the stay is 100+ Euros per night...
