The hotel is in beautiful landscaped gardens. However the hotel does not come up to scratch. No lift available and I was not informed of this. I am awaiting a hip replacement so find stairs very challenging. Due to stairs I could not use pool as it was two floors away from my room. Having booked a Junior Suite the extras promised were not there- no newspapers or magazines, no slippers. Initially no towelling robe but supplied on request but no slippers and no apology. No towels or toilet paper! I located housekeeping and was told she had no toilet paper either & I should go to reception!!!! 3 of us queued at reception all with same problem! No apologies by staff! Really! Balcony full of leaves that could have been swept up in minutes! The removable cushion covers on balcony were stained & needed washing. Breakfast mediocre buffet not worth money.No information about hotel or area in room. Bathroom freezing but no. way to heat. Bath had peeling paint that I didn't use as didn't want flakes of paint in my bath.

Our 3rd stay this year and our Junior Suite patio door was still not working. We believe they need replacing but we were still charged the top price. We bought some WD40 which helped slightly but very difficult to open and close. The staff did try to move us to another room but this was on a higher floor and the lift was out of action!! My husband has COPD and cannot walk up the stairs.

Having arrived and waited to be checked in and watching the chap checking in a customer before me , i felt the way that he treated treated me was a different..( read between the lines ) initially i was given a room in very old part of the hotel and the room was freezing ! Old radiator valve did not work !! I went back to reception and was realocated a wheelchair room! Too big and not designed for my needs . No toilet paper !! .. I also noticed the bed had a join which parted and was unstable.. as a result i did not sleep well.... The breakfast in the morning was fine, very attentive polite staff.. I would think twice about staying here again...

We were recommended your hotel by our customer in Dore, and were pleasantly surprised by the really lovely location. All the personnel were friendly and helpful. We went for a drink before dinner and I ordered a Campari Spritz. After a while I was served with something which wasn't Campari and the gentleman behind the bar didn't know what a Sptitz comprised. They looked for a bottle of Campari which wasn't found and so I had a white wine which was fine. Dinner was enjoyable and the service was friendly. I always stay at one of the hotels in your group, as I find them consistently good quality and good value for money. I would suggest that more training might be useful at all levels. I will come back next visit to your area.

Stayed overnight with our eldest son and his son to watch football match.The initial room we were given smelt heavily of cannabis! Room changed quickly enough. Service my son was given when ordering a bottle of wine with no cork screw was appalling a very unprofessional manager .Refund given begrudgingly! I have used this hotel on many occasions before normally very good . This hotel is am afraid going downhill

Having been sent emails and given a sheet upon arrival regarding Covid, I am sorry but I did not feel safe at all over my stay. I also was very disappointed about what had been taken out of the room (supposedly due to covid), however the price, to me was very high for what was given. I would have said it was no better than a Travel Lodge at a service station, and worth £50 per night and not £100. There were many inexpensive jobs that could have been done in the room too - the loo was horrendously noisy after flushing and the sink taps completely sprayed you. No tissues and no cleaning service (due to covid). However the hotel saw it fit to have a huge Wedding with 100+ guests within the hotel that other guests were staying in. They used reception as well as the bar. None of the guests, obviously kept distance, used sanitiser or masks, which I do know they they don't have to and obviously everyone wants the bride and groom, as well as their family and friends, to have an amazing day - but then the hotel cannot really say that they are "keeping me safe" or "taking things away from me (in my room)"...due to covid. I think it would have been nice/courtesy to have been forewarned too. We were not allowed to put things on our room either due to the wedding. Obviously there was also the fire alarm going off at 00.30, not once but 3 times! This did not help at all, especially as a) it had just gone quiet and b) scared me as I am disabled and cannot run out of a burning building, if there had been one. Also just a note shoved under the door with not even one free drink offered or anything. Not all staff wore masks and I can only assume you have allowed them to make their own choice, but again did not make me feel safe as I went into breakfast on Saturday morning. Something else that seemed to be "taken away" was waiter/waitress service which I believe you had before? I am not a huge fan of a buffet, especially when asking for gluten free bread the "hostess" just said it was on the counter, and really did not seem to know what she was talking about. When we actually got to the counter there was no bread anyway, and when the tray came out all the breads were together, so would have been no good anyway. We were just very, very disappointed this time and "due to the ongoing situation" (to quote you) we did not feel safe at all sadly. You seem to be saying you are trying but then have huge wedding, which would have been fine if it had been in a completely different area and our services were not diminished due to it. However there are 2 people I would like to mention and praise. One is the very kind bar staff member who took our room service order on Friday night. Not only was he beyond helpful amongst the complete chaos of the wedding but actually brought our food to our room too. The second person who was absolutely superb was Ranjid at breakfast on Saturday (wearing mask and gloves) and went above and beyond to bring me gluten free toast as well as hash browns that were safe for me. They really do deserve a mention.

I stayed in a Family Room above the Lakeview Dining Room the night before our wedding and it was very dated, the two armchairs in there were soiled and stained, the beds were hard and uncomfortable in this room, the lamp in the corner didn't work despite changing the bulb and the spotlights in the bathroom didn't work apart from one. Then in the morning I was told that no breakfast could be delivered to the Bride despite me having to get ready so I went downstairs with my maid of honour and as I was wearing my bridal dressing gown over my clothes because I had to rush down to breakfast in the middle of getting ready for my wedding, I was made to feel like a delinquent and they said the best they could do was some bacon sandwiches on a tray for me to take back up to our room as I was not allowed entry to the breakfast buffet. Then the chef decided to come out and very loudly, in front of all the guests, tell one of the ladies working in the restaurant that we were not allowed into the restaurant with our bridal gowns on which we had already been told so there was no need to embarrass us further. It upset me on my wedding morning and was bang out of order. Not only that, me and my cake maker were told that the breakfast that morning would be in the older part of the hotel as we were getting married at 11am (it was also written in our contract) so my cake maker was shocked to find that despite being told she could come early and set up the cake she found the room set up for breakfast so I accidently saw my wedding cake in the morning which was disappointing. All my guests complained about the quality of their rooms and if it wasn't for how amazing our wedding went because of Aiden and Cherished Moments then our experience at Kenwood would have been abysmal and it would have been for nothing. Our bridal suite was lovely but even that had white paint left pealing off the walls and the two lamps in the sitting areas did not work and we got a knock on the door which woke us up in the morning by a member of the cleaning staff asking if she could come in despite it being hours away from check-out at 12pm. If we had stayed purely based on the hotel I would have rated our experience as 0. We wouldn't even come back for our anniversary if the rooms and customer service of some individuals are not changed. It is such a shame.

No lights in the car park and very dark, staff on reception desk just said 'yeah they are broken' Hotel scruffy and in need of decoration Stayed in room 524 - fire plan on the back of the bedroom door gave instructions for room 324 Toothpaste around the sink in the bathroom, clearly not cleaned properly

Super noisy stay. Every time when some one passed by by the corridor using the fire door woke me up several time every single night. The heating was turned off at night making the mornings super cold.

Great hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Hotel was very clean and well run. We had a lovely upgrade of room which gave us some welcome additional space - thank you. Our only suggestion would be to look at the quality of the non cooked items for breakfast. A better quality selection of fresh fruits and compost etc would be very much appreciated.

Every thing was great; loved the room and we know the hotel having stayed there before. One problem I wanted to swim in the pool on Tuesday 5th October; it was closed. This was disappointing as there weren't enough staff to man it. I have emailed you about this but haven't had a reply. It was disappointing as it is one of the facilities I particularly enjoy

Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms tired but comfortable. Grounds lovely to have a stroll around. Food breakfast, evening, restaurant or bar gorgeous, although we had to wait a long time for the bar meal it was worth it . A lovely stay all round.

Rooms were shabby and dated. Service in the restaurant poor. We waited 30 mins for bread which eventually came 2 minutes before our main course. Given the wrong times of opening for the Spa. So having got up early to visit before breakfast we found it wasn't open. Overall we were disappointed. There are better hotels in the area.
